I work at a cryptocurrency exchange, and there is something I have come to notice about this industry.
It is the issue of talent quality.
In traditional finance—banks and securities firms—there is a long tradition of financial education and risk management culture.
In the crypto industry, however, that culture has not yet fully taken root.
That is one reason employee turnover is unusually high.
Many people join the industry and, after some time, become surprised by the reality they encounter.
Not every transaction has a completely transparent origin of funds.
In some cases, transactions appear… questionable.

Some could even be considered grey-zone activities.
And so they leave.
