Last week, I traveled to London from Monday through Wednesday morning and then on to New York from Thursday through Friday, meeting with investors.
The main topics of discussion were:
(1) the impact of U.S. tariffs on Japan,
(2) Japan’s shift from deflation to inflation,
(3) the outlook for BOJ monetary policy, and
(4) the political landscape after the LDP leadership race.
I will leave aside the details of each meeting, but three points in particular stood out.
