As I explained yesterday, J.D. Vance’s “provocations” played a significant role in the breakdown of the meeting between President Donald Trump and President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Vance also sharply criticized Europe in his speeches at the Paris AI Action Summit on February 12 and the Munich Security Conference on February 15.
In my previous article “An American in Paris: Why Are the U.S. and Europe in Conflict?” published on February 17, I pointed out that he may be sending the message that Europe cannot be a partner in U.S. AI development if it continues its current regulations and speech controls.
On security matters as well, Vance views Europe as problematic.
