Q: The BOJ has set a 2% price stability target, but I believe the general public struggles to understand it.
What’s the rationale behind choosing 2%? Should we interpret this to mean prices will rise by 2% annually without fail?
And if it refers to 2% inflation, haven’t we already surpassed that in recent years?
